A list of 5 of the best, most scenic hiking trails in the United States – the perfect excuse to wear your VELDSKOEN.
When searching for the perfect pair of shoes, it’s important that the ‘shoe’ fits the type of lifestyle that you lead, should you have any extravagant hobbies or interests. The South African iconic shoe brand, Veldskoen, has been deemed many wonderful things, but there is ONE more description to add to that long list – Veldskoen shoes are incredible hiking shoes. Veldskoen come from centuries of hiking through the African wilderness and are quiet capable of handling the toughest conditions pretty much anywhere.
South Kaibab Trail (Arizona)
This specific hiking trail is located in the Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona. The lack of shade and steep descent makes for a strenuous and challenging day-hike – it is advised to pack a lot of water to avoid dehydration. The trail begins with a deep descent, therefore non-slip hiking shoes are essential; Veldskoen shoes would be the perfect fit! With a 360-degree view of the Grand Canyon, tunnels and a suspension bridge; is not for the faint-hearted.

Mist Trail (California)
A majestic hiking trail in Yosemite Valley, which deserves all the glory and praise it has received. The trail is home to two beautiful waterfalls: Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall. However, if you wish to see the Nevada Fall, the hike will be extended by 2 miles – it’s worth the extra steps! The slippery pathway and strong water currents make for a journey in which all safety precautions must be met. It is recommended to wear the correct footwear (aka Veldskoen's non-slip heritage range); safeguard the little ones and swim at your own risk.
