About Us

Company founders, Nick Dreyer, Nic Latouf & Ross Zondagh decided to make their own, updated version of the South African classic in August 2016, while watching the Olympic Games. They saw that the South African Olympic team wasn’t wearing anything iconically South African to represent their country. And so, VELDSKOEN™ was born – a traditional South African shoe with an injection of youth, energy, and happiness.

Through its platform, VELDSKOEN™ shines a light on great South Africans doing amazing things. These stories are told on the VELDSKOEN™ blog and shared globally. They are stories about average South Africans, from all walks of life, who are making a difference in other people’s lives. They all have one thing in common – they are all fresh, vibrant South Africans, with colourful personalities, just like VELDSKOEN™. You can read about them here.
